Color Chooser 05/28/12
ColorChooser allows you to quickly access and organize your colors from the menubar without interrupting your workflow.
Using color swatches across multiple apps is a huge pain. Even using custom colors between Adobe apps can be a real challenge.
It’s why Jeff Almasol created the After Effects script Swatch You Want that converts Adobe Swatch Exchange (.ase) files. There’s even a cool hack that lets you bring your Adobe Kuler swatches into After Effects.
But what’s great about Color Chooser is that it lets you choose any color on your screen and then copy this color to your clipboard in the format of your preference.
Now, whether you’re in Media Composer or Final Cut Pro or Premiere you can use your project’s colors in a dependable way. Of course, you still have to be mindful of gamma inconsistencies between apps. But for a down and dirty way to share color across your desktop, Color Chooser is a real time saver.
