Film Terms 08/01/12

Film Terms is a searchable glossary of over 400 filmmaking terms that helps you learn and keep up with industry jargon.

With technology and processes changing so often in the film and video industry, it can be a real challenge to keep up.

Imagine how your clients feel.

That’s why the iOS and Mac app Film Terms by Digital Rebellion is a deceptively simple idea:

an app that is a glossary of  hundreds of film and video terms.

If you’ve ever tried to look up film terms online, you’ll immediately see how useful an app like this could be.

But it gets better: you can also easily share these definitions.

Let’s say you find a definition you want to share with your client. Anamorphic is a concept that, in the past, has been hard for some of my clients to fully understand.

To share, just press the share icon in the top right corner.

This allows you to email the definition to your client, producer or another collaborator.

Again, Film Terms seems like a deceptively simple app.  But the frictionless sharing of information can go a long way toward clearing up misunderstandings on set and in the edit suite.
