ForgetMeNot 06/10/12

Buddhists believe attachment is bad. It’s not if you’re sending emails. ForgetMeNot will make sure you never forget again.

When I first read about ForgetMeNot, a Plugin for Apple’s Mail application, I got excited.

I thought that the plugin, upon realizing that you forgot to attach a file to your email would:

  • dispatch a pigeon wrangler (with a pigeon) to your house
  • have you download your forgotten file to a thumbdrive
  • attach the thumbdrive to the pigeon’s leg
  • send the homing pigeon on the wings of angels to your recipient

The fact that this is not practical has not stopped me from submitting this as a feature request.

Sigh.

Until then, ForgetMeNot is still very handy.  By checking for various keywords in your email ForgetMeNot immediately recognizes whether you are referring to an attachment, which has not been attached.

Never suffer the embarrassment and social ostracizing of forgotten attachments again.

God speed you ForgetMeNot.
