Oh how the pendulum has swung. A couple of years ago, it used to be geek-chic to walk around with Apple earbuds.

Then we found out that these types of in-ear headphones heighten the risk of hearing loss when used improperly. But did we listen?

No (probably because the tinnitus had probably already started to set in). Instead of Dr. Oz getting us to change our listening habits, it was Dr. Dre.

Dre’s over-the-ear headphones have earned him hundreds of millions of dollars and prompted 50 Cent and Ludacris to come out with headphone lines of their own.
